Gucci asked us to inform them ahead of time if we had claustrophobia or epilepsy, and were advised to wear sunglasses at the show. It turns out the show, held at the Gucci Hub, was set in a mirrored dome complete with 120,000 lightbulbs that flashed to soundtrack of operatic music. Clothing wise, Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele’ signature retro-eclectic style was on display, only this time with face masks, gold ear pieces, golden eye patches and even volleyball knee pads.
I took a brief pit-stop at the Osservatorio Fondazione Prada where the work of Jamie Diamond was on display. She had hyperrealistic dolls made—mostly resembling human children—and photographed them with real women to explore the idea of artificial surrogacy.
Then it was off to Brunello Cucinelli in their headquarters' beautiful courtyard. There were creamy, dreamy jumpsuits and simple, chic eveningwear pieces for the classic lady.

Instead of models, MM6 opted to feature senior Milanese women. Everything at the show—including the room—was made from white padding to show that even if everyone wore the same colour, their personalities would shine through.
At N21’s show, almost every look featured a backless dress or top paired with hotpants. Business in the front, party in the back!

Jil Sander showed an elegant-casual collection of gorgeous long, flowing silhouettes and bags of every shape and size. Could they be vying for the title as the new Phoebe Philo’s Celine?
The night ended at Moncler Genius’ designer collaboration launch.The designers this year include Pierpaolo Piccioli & Liya Kebede, Sergio Zambon and Veronica Leoni for Moncler 1952, Sandro Mandrino for Moncler Grenoble, Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Richard Quinn, Hiroshi Fujiwara and Poldo Dog Couture to name a few, the last of which is my personal favourite. The event featured a unique room for each collection, and the puppy couture of course had adorable dogs modelling the latest pieces.
