Met Gala 2024: The best menswear looks, from Bright’s Burberry ensemble to ‘Challengers’ star Mike Faist’s Loewe look

Saltburn’s Barry Keoghan walked the Met Gala red carpet in a 19th-century-inspired look, consisting of a velvet three-piece suit, a white silk cravat, a pocket watch and a top hat.

Singer Omar Apollo arrived on the red carpet wearing a black suit by Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson. It features a wide embellished lapel with crystal flowers.

British designer Harris Reed was dressed in one of his own creations: a muted blue and gold jumpsuit with a structured bodice, as well as a halo, made of vintage wallpaper. 

Singer Troye Sivan arrived in Prada; it has a a peek-a-boo detail on the back, which is a reimagining of the house’s fall 2008 menswear collection.

Designer Tom Ford wore a red velvet jacket and black trousers by Saint Laurent’s Anthony Vaccarello, and accessorised with sunglasses, a bow tie and a white floral brooch.

Eddie Redmayne and his wife Hannah Bagshawe arrived in matching outfits by British designer Steve O’Smith. His wore a white tulle suit-dress featuring black appliqué.

Thai actor Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree wore a black and tan knitted ensemble from Burberry’s Daniel Lee.

Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing walked the red carpet in his own design: a black suit with a shirt made of sand and moulded with a face cast of his own likeness.

Challengers’ Mike Faist arrived in a black and white look by Loewe, with an playful embellished beet brooch and chunky rounded shoes.

Jeremy Strong walked the red carpet with his wife, Emma Wall, in a crisp white Loro Piana ensemble with one floral lapel and a rose tied at the neck. He broke up the look with a stark black loafer, sans socks. 

Met Gala co-host Bad Bunny arrived in a look created by Maison Margiela’s John Galliano, consisting of a navy suit with white stitching details, red piping on the trousers, hoof-like shoes and 3D florals on the jacket and beret.

Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton arrived fresh from the Miami Grand Prix wearing a custom Burberry look. Its floral details were inspired by the first Black gardener in Wales in the 18th century. It also featured a hidden tag, on which is a poem by Black poet Alex Walton. 

Model Alton Mason wore a layered Thom Browne ensemble consisting of an open shirt, tweed suit and a textured coat, which is worn off the shoulders and draped around him like a cape. He completed the look with a subtle mesh mask. 

Adrien Brody stepped out with a fresh blonde hairdo, as well as a slick tuxedo by Maison Margiela and enormous bird-shaped brooch by Elsa Jin, which had an impressive aquamarine stone in the centre.

Singer Rauw Alejandro wore a white satin suit and a crystalline shirt with a flower motif displayed across his chest by Ludovic de Saint Sernin—and a bedazzled Jacob and Co watch to match.

Jamie Dornan wore what looks like a conventional three-piece suit—but upon closer inspection, each element of the Loewe ensemble is hand-embroidered with caviar pearl embellishments, creating a textured knit-like effect.

Elvis director Baz Luhrmann arrived with his wife, Catherine Martin, wearing a deep turquoise Miu Miu suit, which featured floral appliqué all over the chest and shoulders.
