The German luxury fashion house unveils the Vintage Jacquard Monogram with a 3D animation by Sucuk & Bratwurst, in collaboration with Highsnobiety

For the first time in MCM's history, they are reinterpreting their iconic Visetos monogram with a vintage aesthetic woven into the fabric with traditional techniques of The Bauhaus textile school. Cult-favourite handbags, including the Stark, Tote, Klassik, Satchel and the Wilton Chain, are printed with this new motif, with renderings in antique grey, modern blue and royal red. The Vintage Jacquard Monogram can also be found on their sneakers, slip-ons and bucket hats in this capsule.

“To kick off our 45th anniversary, we wanted to introduce a collection which is designed to nod towards the past yet look towards the future through a new material treatment," says MCM's global creative officer, Dirk Schönberger.

“Berlin-based artist collective, Sucuk & Bratwurst—renowned for their bold, otherworldly imagery across two and three dimensional realms—are the perfect partners to conceptualise the metamorphosis of our monogram,” he continues.

Sucuk & Bratwurst and Highsnobiety bring their specific style in an exclusive 3D monogram animation of the ladybug, the Berlin creative collective's logo and lucky charm. As the ladybug flies towards the camera, we follow the metamorphosis of MCM's timeless Visetos Monogram on the insect's wing as it transforms into this new version.
