Go small with the current big thing, nano bags. And Louis Vuitton's most iconic bags including Alma, Speedy and Lockit are now available in micro versions.
Louis Vuitton's nanosized City bag collection
For the past few seasons, we have been obsessed with the leather trunk-inspired bags designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for the house of Louis Vuitton.
While the newcomer is making waves both on and off the runway, we still can't shake off our love for the iconic classics of Vuitton.
Most of us probably have at least one, if not all, of the seven iconic City bags – the Speedy, Alma, Lockit, Noé, Pallas, Turenne and W – but we still crave for more.
Luckily, the house of Vuitton has just unveiled the Nano collection that revisits the Maison’s classic designs -- both past and present -- and gives us mini versions of the House's heavyweights.
Instantly recognisable, the Nano bags sport the exact shape, construction, materials and stitching of the iconic bags.
From the signature LV monogram canvas on the Speedy, Turenne and Noé to the poppy reds and soft pinks on soft calf and Epi leather, these miniature bags are the result of an elaborate creative process that requires the Maison’s craftsman to reconsider and reconstruct each style.
All of the scaled-down icons also comes with a long strap to enable easy shoulder or cross-body carry, which makes it the perfect summer bag for beach getaways and a stylish stroll down the fashion districts – think Greek Island beaches and Rue Saint Honoré in Paris.
The Nano collection will be officially launched on 8th July 2015, with additional designs and colour releasing later in September 2015 and February 2016.
