Loro Piana Debuts Its Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Sesia and Ready to Wear Collections

Supple leather and delicate shearling line sleek silhouettes in a collection inspired by the city of Milan

The Sesia handbag needs little by way of introduction. The elegant, curved bag draws its name from the valley that Loro Piana calls home, its landscape serving as influence for the organic shape and natural colour palette of the bag. Building on the success of previous iterations, the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 collection offers a range of bags which continue to celebrate the Sesia’s signature shape, a tribute to the free, flowing forms found in nature.

The Sesia caters to the every needs of the women who wear it; available in a wide range of sizes and designed to be carried from day to night. The introduction of new, autumnal hues, including the newly-launched Citrint Quartz, add a sense of seasonality to the collection. A special addition bag is crafted from plush Melton cashmere and available in a range of colours with leather detailing, while a compact, Micro bag, available in smooth satin leather, adds understated confidence to any look.

For its Fall/Winter 2021-2022 ready-to-wear women’s collection, homegrown Italian label Loro Piana channels the identity of the city of Milan, from the elegance of the city’s palazzos to the architecture behind its world-famed Galleria.

This season’s materials of choice, Alabama leather—crafted from luxuriously soft nappa—and shearling, line the collection’s outerwear, creating relaxed yet still sophisticated silhouettes. The leather is hand finished to create sleek, minimalist shapes seen in pieces including the Lenore Skirt—a mustard yellow midi skirt which boasts a structured silhouette in keeping with the collection’s Milanese inspiration, and the Augustin trench, spotlighting the material’s quality finish, seen in the hand-sewn detailing on the cuff and tie belt. Shearling, used in both curly and smooth finishes, adds a textured dimension to the full-length Jandel and the reversible Brennan shearling coats.
