Longchamp renews its partnership with Anaka, marking the third year of a collaboration that puts Madagascar's female artisans at the heart of the initiative.
In conjunction with Spring/Summer 2026 and International Women's Day, Longchamp is continuing its collaboration with Anaka for the third consecutive year. More than just a seasonal project, this initiative is a consistent statement by the French fashion house of the values that have defined it from the beginning: the transmission of craftsmanship, respect for savoir-faire, and a responsible creative approach.
Madagascar, with its rich natural resources and deep-rooted craft traditions, is at the center of this collaboration. There, women have inherited skills in processing natural fibers—raffia, sisal, straw, and cotton—through techniques such as knitting, weaving, crocheting, and embroidery, passed down through generations. From this legacy, the LANA workshop, founded by Narindra, was born. In 2020, she formed the NGO LANA ANAKA, which focuses on children's education, women's economic independence, environmental protection, and local ecosystem regeneration.

Today, the partnership enables 40 artisans—mostly women—to work full-time and earn a decent living from their skills. The impact is also felt by 66 children who have access to education, healthcare, food, and other basic necessities.

Design-wise, the collection features iconic silhouettes with an authentic hand-woven touch. Le Roseau Raffia is a large tote woven in one piece from natural raffia, enhanced by a wooden toggle and leather handle , reflecting Longchamp's heritage of leather craftsmanship . Meanwhile, Le Pliage Filet is reinterpreted with hand-braided raffia ribbons in a color palette inspired by sunset and the shimmer of the sea. The collection is complemented by a woven raffia summer hat and a decorative keychain, conveying a light and personal spirit.

Through this collaboration, Longchamp demonstrates that modern luxury is no longer just about aesthetics, but also about impact. At the intersection of tradition and innovation, fashion and philanthropy, a new narrative is created: that the bags we carry can simultaneously symbolize solidarity, sustainability, and women's empowerment.
