The fashion elite has descended upon the French Riviera to watch the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2019 show. Don’t miss a beat and stay tuned to Hong Kong Tatler for a live stream of the show on May 29, 1:30AM (HKT):

Palm Springs, Rio de Janerio, Kyoto and now… the French Riviera. Louis Vuitton and Nicolas Ghesquière have their sights on a spectacular location closer to home this season. The Cruise show, which is taking place on May 29 will be taking over the grounds at the Fondation Maeght, a modern art museum that’s tucked away overlooking Saint-Paul-de-Vence on the French Riviera.

Designed by Spanish architect, Josep Lluis Sert, the magnificent structure fuses modernist principals and contemporary art, which is a fitting location considering Louis Vuitton’s commitment to the arts and Ghesquière’s ability to brilliant fuse together the French house’s heritage and contemporary design.

And as we all know, Ghesquière and Louis Vuitton have a pension for picking museums for their fashion show venues, Ready-to-Wear collections in the recent years have been showcased in various rooms at The Louvre, while previous Cruise shows have been housed in Kyoto’s Miho Museum, designed by famed architect I.M. Pei, and the year before that, it was held at Rio’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) Niterói.

What to expect in terms of design? Both Louis Vuitton and Nicolas Ghesquière took to their social media pages and gave a sneak peek of the accessories. Cats, more specifically, cat caricatures that resemble the work of Grace Coddington, the Creative Director at Large of Vogue US and illustrator. Could that possibly mean a collaboration with the famed stylist? Only one way to find out!
