Lexus collabs with Champion to release a unisex collection that's sleek like a car and fresh like your favourite streetwear pieces

There's a new streetwear capsule out and it's a must-cop designed by Salehe Bembury and Lexus—that's right, the luxury automaker—printed on your favourite Champion silhouettes.

The new collection, consisting of a hoodie, T-shirt and hat, merges Lexus' future-looking mobility innovation and Salehe's signature nature-inspired design. Both complement each other, making Champion's popular Reverse Weave style even more unique.

Salehe's point of inspiration? the 2022 Lexus NX, a vehicle that presents a new era of intuitive electrification, technology, performance and design.

“This collaboration was a new type of challenge for me. It is both challenging and rewarding to explore design outside of footwear and allowed me to think outside of my usual realm of design,” Salehe shared.

However, you can still see Salehe's logo and signature fingerprint. The Lexus' iconic logo is also reimagined and incorporated into the pieces to portray the brand's human-centric design. Another clever design in this collection are the graphic accents on the back that are reminiscent of the Lexus NX's taillights.

Champion's Reverse Weave served as the canvas for the design. The fabric, which has been dyed dark grey through a custom oil wash process, adds to its distinct style that separates it from other Champion apparel.

The cap is also a standout as it's designed with Salehe's fingerprint logo wrapping the brim. The piece also features embroidered Salehe, Lexus and Champion logos which is adjustable using a strap and metal buckle.
