With her years of iconic looks, it’s no wonder Lady Gaga didn’t need to try hard to reach the top of the best-dressed celebrities list this year

Lady Gaga has just been crowned the best-dressed celebrity but our question is, was anyone really surprised? The pop singer beat fellow style mavens such as award-winning actresses Zendaya, Viola Davis and Mindy Kaling.

Her legacy certainly precedes her because despite not stepping foot on a red carpet recently, Gaga was named “The Icon” in People magazine’s best dressed of the year issue with her stunning looks.

She was praised for her high fashion outfits that included a black lace corseted gown and “a sculptural seersucker number” that was complimented with “elegant updos, sky-high heels and retro shades”.

Other star-studded celebrities that made the top 10 were famous faces such as Leslie Odom Jr, Anya Taylor-Joy, Cynthia Erivo, Dan Levy, Regina Hall and more.

Odom Jr, who recently starred in the American drama, One Night In Miami, was honoured for introducing loud colour, bold prints and, at one point, gold from head to toe to menswear on the red carpet.

Davis on the other hand earned points for wearing and showcasing designers of colours as well as diverse and modern ones who liked to add a dash of old Hollywood glamour to its designs.

Dan Levy earned the highly coveted fan favourite award for his playful vibes on the red carpet with his loud and colourful outfits. He has said in the past that his fashion choices exist to make people smile and smile people certainly do with his bright yellow suits and bold zodiac-embroidered shirts.

Zendaya in particular was also given high praise for her cut-out gowns, plunging necklines and high slits that she has worn on various red carpets.
