The ocean is our life support and as ocean lovers, we were glad to learn about the launch of the La Mer World Oceans Day Crème, in support of ocean conservation organisation, Oceana. To up the ante La Mer has announced its partnership with National Geographic to host the La Mer Global Photography Contest.

From now until July 31, La Mer and National Geographic are inviting professional and amateur photographers to connect with nature and upload up to three of their best ocean-inspired photographs. Be it pictures of shorelines, marine life or surf, the photographer behind the best submission will win a National Geographic expeditions trip to the beautiful seas of North America's Pacific Northwest. The winner will experience the region's stunning scenery and wildlife, while getting photography tips from an expert at National Geographic.

Other prizes include thousands dollars worth of ocean-inspired gifts, including La Mer's legendary skincare products.
