The new boutique in Pavilion KL mall currently features ready-to-wear, bags and footwear from spring-summer 2020 collection

The eponymous brand of late fashion royalty Karl Lagerfeld unveils its first store in Malaysia earlier this month. Located in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, it is poised to capture the attention of the city's most stylish and fashion-savvy as it carries on the vision of one of fashion's most revered icons.

Focusing on its female line (although a small selection for men is also available), the opening coincides with the release of the spring-summer 2020 collection dubbed "21 Rue Saint-Guillaume" that pays homage to Karl Lagerfeld's home and draws inspiration from the Bauhaus art movement characterised by clean lines, bold colours and abstract shapes. This is reflected in the collection's prominent use of colour blocking and distinct typography for some truly refreshing and modern pieces.

Karl Lagerfeld's immense legacy is also reflected in the store's interior with displays of his sketches hung on the walls and décor that resemble those he used in his own mansion. Fans of the fashion house should also keep their eye out for exclusive events to celebrate the store's recent opening.
