US Vice President Kamala Harris' stepdaughter has the internet buzzing with her fashion-forward style
At the U.S. presidential inauguration today, all eyes were on the nation's new president and vice president—but one particular corner of the fashion internet only had eyes for Ella Emhoff. Emhoff is the daughter of (you guessed it) America's new Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris.
And, in a sea of neat, staid tailored pantsuits, proper pearls, and neatly curled coiffures, Ella Emhoff wore a sparkling collared Miu Miu tweed coat (over a Batsheva dress—in a design that references Victorian and pioneer garments), a centre part in her hair, and a black headband. She looked... cool.
A Los Angeles native who's currently a student at Parsons School of Design in New York City, Emhoff lives in Brooklyn, has tattoos, studies textiles, and (until recently) ran a commission-based knitting business. See some of her work on her Instagram here:
