You’ve heard of the man-bag. Now, there’s a new it-accessory for men: the smaller and equally impactful man-pouch.

The pint-sized bag took over fashion week for spring/summer 2020 last month, with luxury brands—think Coach, Burberry and Gucci—fawning fresh new looks for men—many with a bag in hand, on the shoulder or strapped neatly across the chest and waist. The verdict?

The smaller the bag, the better.

From the cross-body to the clutch, belt-bag to messenger, here are nine micro-bags to wear straight off the runways of London, Paris, Milan and New York:

A redo on the classic shoulder bag, this unisex leather bag is unmistakably Gucci, thanks to its 70’s red-hue stamped in gold with the Florentine house’s linked GG logo. Zip-top access and multiple pockets add to its functionality, while the matching strap can be detachable and adjustable for a more compact use.

And the leather will only get better with age.

Made from black calfskin, the simple pouch—with versatile double zipper opening—is both roomy (for a glorified wallet) and cool; toughened up by the UK brand’s rocking logo: this season a spattering of silver metal studs to reveal that iconic McQueen skull.
