The fashion industry is one of the largest and most influential industries in the world and plays a vital role in the future of our environment and, ultimately, our planet. After a successful G7 meeting in Biarritz, the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, officially launched a Fashion Pact with 32 fashion and textile companies to promote sustainability within the global fashion industry for a brighter future and a better world.

The Fashion Pact was promoted by Francois Henri Pinault, president of Kering Group which manages luxury brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen to name a few.

The Fashion Pact objectives include safeguarding the planet in three essential areas—stopping global warming, restoring biodiversity and protecting the oceans. Check out the gallery above for 10 fashion brands that have agreed to play a role in the coalition to protect our planet.
