Luxury labels join forces with artists, online retailers and stylists to create covetable collections ranging from beachwear to shoes and ready-to-wear. From hypnotic print-filled Dior Homme pieces to clean and simple styles from French label A.P.C., scroll to see the designer collaborations that caught our eye this month.

1. Stella McCartney x The Beatles

Released on July 10, the All Together Now capsule collection celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic Yellow Submarine film, as well as Stella McCartney’s immediate connection to its legacy. The scenes and graphic motifs from the movie are featured across the wide range of pieces in the collection: dramatic vibrant fur coat, ankle-length dress, and denim jackets. The scenes from the movie have also appeared in the brand’s kidswear line, Stella McCartney Kids.
For women, the scene from Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is depicted through jacquard patchwork on a flowy dress. A dramatic faux fur coat, that accompanies the dress, stars a painterly image of The Beatles themselves in their marching band uniforms. For men, the outerwear pieces are covered with portraits of The Beatles reimagined in a pop art style. One of the most striking garments is a full-length black coat covered in individually-embroidered patches of the band, and makes for a celebratory statement piece.

2. Louis Vuitton x Alex Israel

Following the successful partnership between Louis Vuitton and Alex Israel on the ArtCap project, the two are collaborating once again—this time, on a textile collection with a campaign featuring American supermodel, Karlie Kloss. 
The collection consists of scarves, shawls, blankets, and other soft accessories. The scarves presented use the patterns from Israel’s Wave paintings that look incredibly lively on Vuitton’s premium silk. The Sky monogram shawls from the collection are made from a silk-cashmere blend and depict the artist’s famous painting of the same name. The collection’s final piece, the vibrant Desperado bandeau, features a playful desert scene with cars and cacti that are heavily influenced by the Los Angeles artist’s 2015 bronze sculpture.

3. Maison Margiela x Ssense

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Maison Margiela’s iconic Tabi boot, the label is collaborating with edgy e-commerce platform, Ssense, on a special remake. 
Margiela's Tabi boot was first introduced in 1989 and has been a lasting symbol of the house's avant garde approach to fashion. The capsule  is meant to revisit the original designs of the clove-toed shoe, featuring two ankle-length boots and some flat-sole styles as well. The collection itself, along with the campaign, has referenced Margiela’s DNA that revolves around anonymity and invisibility. Such intention is traced through the still life imagery that contains no human presence, yet is filled with the spirit of life itself, much like a house that was abandoned only moments ago.

4. Dior x Hajime Sorayama

In a joint effort with Hajime Sorayama, Kim Jones, the creative director of Dior Homme, presented a surreal beachwear line just in time for the tail end of the summer months. The capsule sprung out of the Pre-Fall 2019 collaboration with the Japanese contemporary artist, and consists of sporty styles along with a variety of covetable accessories in Sorayama’s iconic prints and azure hues.

The apparel is futuristic, camp and extremely on-trend. We have our eyes on the bowling shirt and Bermuda shorts from the collection.

5. A.P.C. x Suzanne Koller

Long-time A.P.C. collaborator, Suzanne Koller, participated in Interaction – a collection in which friends of A.P.C. offer their unique take on the label’s classics. When designing the line, French stylist Koller wanted to create an array of timeless essentials that are both versatile and chic, and which are inspired by the her own wardrobe.

The collection consists of 10 pieces that exude simplicity, elegance, and edge, including a camel poncho, dark blue evening djellaba, a classic striped blue shirt and an olive green parka. Accessories are also featured in the collection, including a navy leather pouch, oversized grey wool tote bag, fashion jewellery, boots and babouche slippers.
