The fashion house’s newest signature bag, The Olympia, draws inspiration from ancient Greece and modern-day muses
Burberry has unveiled its new signature bag, the Olympia, a celebration of femininity in its many and varied forms.
The crescent-shaped bag has been carefully crafted from the finest Italian leather, assembled and moulded by hand to achieve its unique shape, which mirrors the body’s natural curves.

Each bag is finished with a choice of gold or palladium hardware etched with the Burberry logo. Burberry’s chief creative officer, Riccardo Tisci, drew inspiration for the Olympia not only from ancient Greece, but also by women he sees as symbols of modern femininity—namely, the campaign’s three ambassadors: Kendall Jenner, FKA Twigs and Shygirl.
In celebration of the brand’s new signature bag, a series of pop-up events was held worldwide, inviting fans of the brand back into stores once more. At Hong Kong’s Landmark, the fashion house constructed a large, curved platform encircled by a series of statues that closely resemble those dating back to ancient Greece.
