Keep up with all the best looks from the menswear spring/summer 2022 shows: Prada, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Brunello Cuccinelli and more
The menswear spring/summer 2022 shows are in full swing, with most brands opting for digital presentations over physical shows. While we’re not able to travel to the shows this season (yet again), designers seem bent on bringing exotic locations to us: so far, we’ve been to the beach with Prada, enjoyed a light show with Dolce & Gabbana, supped on water with Ermenegildo Zegna, and explored the majesty of the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana with Fendi. Not bad for another digital season. As the season rolls on, check back here as we track the best looks from the menswear spring/summer 2022 season.
Prada

Who: Prada
The Inspiration: Tunnel to joy, urgency of feelings, utopia of normality
The Quote: “A sense of the utopian, the ideal, of hope, positivity. To expose yourself to nature, to go to the beach—it’s freedom. It is utopian. That is really a primary need—an intellectual need, too,” said Miuccia Prada.

Fendi

Who: Fendi
The Inspiration: Reflections on watching the world from above
The Quote: “How you see things—and from where you see them—has never been more important. Our singular point of view in this period has modified our perception of the world—and mine has become so linked to what I see from the arches and the rooftop of our building. It is almost like a bird’s eye view of Rome from here. The colours and the perspective are always changing—the soft palette of the Roman sky across the day is so beautiful and I wanted it to be a focal point of this collection,” said Silvia Venturini Fendi, artistic director of Fendi accessories and menswear.

Dolce & Gabbana

Who: Dolce & Gabbana
Inspiration: Light displays from the south of Italy, the handmade as “real art”
The Quote: “It’s a very Italian tradition: a celebration of light, family and artisans. This is the most important message for us today. Light is good therapy for this moment. Now we need to see light, joy and happiness in the eyes of people. That’s what we want,” said Stefano Gabbana.

Brunello Cuccinelli

Who: Brunello Cuccinelli
Inspiration: Balance, essentiality and sobriety
The Quote: “On the path traced towards rebirth, towards joyful reunions and the sharing of daily gestures, men are starting to rediscover a taste for elegance and dressing well as well as the emotions and sensations of well-being that stem from a polished, relaxed and contemporary style.
With this renewed desire for elegance, simplicity takes on a special role; because of its closeness to a natural expression of masculinity, it is capable of transmitting a message of authenticity, of positivity and of spontaneity.”

Ermenegildo Zegna

Who: Ermenegildo Zegna
Inspiration: The New Set: an evolutional, fluid code to enter the world again by keeping the connotations of tailoring in both methodology and construction while devising new forms in new fabrications, tuned to the needs of today.
The Quote: “My aim at Zegna is to create an accord between the essence of tailoring, which is our reason for being, and the rhythm of the modern world. What I have done is a rewiring of luxury crafting, following a flow that frees the man while keeping the distinctiveness, offering pieces that are easy to wear as they are inventive. Effortlessness is the key”, said Alessandro Sartori.
