7 Chinese Models Who Walked The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show In Shanghai
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is one of the most highly anticipated annual events on the fashion calendar and this year, the night of elaborate ensembles took place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai. Seasoned Victoria's Secret Angels like Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima and Taylor Hill were joined by seven Chinese models, some of whom are now familiar faces on the Victoria's Secret runway and some of whom made a spectacular debut. Born in Paris, 19 year-old Estelle Chen has walked the runway for Dior, Louis Vuitton, Kenzo and Miu Miu. A well-known advocate for encouraging greater Asian representation in the fashion and entertainment industry, the young up-and-coming model is sure to be an inspiration to many.
She may be a relatively new face in the fashion industry but get familiar, because Xin Xie is well on her way to becoming a household name. The 22-year-old model walked the runway for Miu Miu Resort 2016 and has appeared in editorials for Vogue China and Vogue Middle East.
Xiao Wen Ju
Originally from Wenzhou, Sui He made her Victoria’s Secret debut in 2011 and has walked every show since. She was formerly a professional swimmer and was the first Chinese model to become the face of revered Japanese beauty label, Shiseido.
Little is known about 20-year-old newcomer One Wang, though we have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of her after her flawless Victoria's Secret debut. The young model won the 10th China Super Model Final Contest in Beijing and has appeared in editorials for ELLE, Men’s JOKER and more.
Known as China’s first supermodel, Liu Wen needs no introduction. The stunning 29-year-old was the first Asian spokesperson for Estee Lauder, the first Chinese model to appear on the cover of American Vogue and was the first Chinese model to walk the runway at a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show back in 2009.
