There's aliens, robots and even dinosaurs.

If there's anything we've come to learn about creative director Alessandro Michele's Gucci, is that it is unconventional, quirky and anything but safe. This season, Gucci has released a fashion campaign that is truly out of this world.

The retro-futurist settings inside the images dreamed up by Michele were inspired by the sci-fi genre of the 1950s and 60s, including the iconic TV program Star Trek.

The alien themed campaign was first teased in April with a strange series of videos on Gucci's Instagram, featuring what looked like extra-terrestrials auditioning for a movie of some sorts.

According to the Italian house, in 'Gucci and Beyond', humanoids, aliens, robots and earthlings unite for a Gucci invasion from a galaxy far, far away. Human characters interact with extraterrestrial creatures and dinosaurs and then are beamed up to surreal, psychedelic outer space.
