Sylvie 1969

Strutting down the catwalk for Gucci’s fall/winter 2019 show was a new interpretation of this classic model which debuted during an auspicious time in modern history – when man first landed on the moon back in 1969.

Well, man may not have set foot on Mars just yet but that didn’t stop this venerable fashion house from reissuing a re-edit of this classic and highly coveted handbag with its gold chain and belt buckle hardware feature.

A top handle as well as a chain shoulder strap, makes this bag a versatile addition to any wardrobe. Available in shiny patent leather, its boxy silhouette ticks all the right boxes for a trendy day bag or an elegant evening one. A mini-version taps on the current obsession for pint-size proportions, making it irresistible for any self-respecting fashionista.

Covering all their bases, there is a Plexiglas version for those who veer towards the avant-garde in white, green or pink hues which has a slimmer silhouette accompanied by a decorative chain strap.
