Lucio Vanotti will showcase his work at the upcoming Milan Men's Fashion Week 2016 from January 16 to 19.

Giorgio Armani has launched the 11th season of his initiative to support young fashion talent of creation, and this year's protegé is Lucio Vanotti.

Born in Bergamo and a graduate of the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Lucio Vanotti has made a name for himself thanks to his rational and minimalist style. His collections tend towards the abstract, for a clean result with absolute geometries that envelop the body.

The up-and-coming designer will have the chance to showcase his new collection at the Italian fashion legend's Armani Teatro space during the next men's fashion week in Milan this January.

"For several years I have supported the most promising young talents in Italy and the panorama of international fashion," says Armani. "I am always attracted by their enthusiasm, their involvement and creativity, which result in an increasingly personal and genuine vision. I wish Lucio Vanotti, the creator I chose for this season, a future sparkling with success."

Vanotti in turn said: "Receiving this opportunity from Giorgio Armani is an accolade for me. My heartfelt thanks go to the man who, in addition to setting a leading example in terms of business, remains the inventor of an aesthetic code recognized by everyone. He has deeply influenced me and I fully recognize myself in his work."

Previous recipients of Armani's generosity include Israeli designer Daizy Shely, Japanese brand Facetasm and Greek talent Angelos Bratis.
