Louis Vuitton’s latest venture in China is the first in a series of cultural programmes stemming from the French fashion house’s Fondation Louis Vuitton

After officially opening in October last year, Fondation Louis Vuitton has extended its artistic activities into the Far East with its Beyond The Walls programme, launching a monographic exhibition devoted to Frank Gehry and his architectural project for the Fondation. Starting off in Beijing, where it will be exhibited until August, the exhibition will then travel to Tokyo until October with future locations to be announced.
The exhibition presented in Beijing offers insight into the creative world of the visionary architect, retracing the design process of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s iconic Parisian structure, with original drawings and models produced during the course of the project featured throughout the exhibition. Gehry has described the building as “a magnificent vessel that symbolises France’s profound cultural vocation.”
The Beyond The Walls Exhibit will take place from June 20 to August 9, 2015 at Louis Vuitton’s boutique in the China World Shopping Mall, Beijing
