Listen to what Filipina designers have to say about how to wear the ever so popular, little black dress (LBD).

Since the day that Audrey Hepburn made the LBD famous, women all over the world have made it a staple peice in their wardrobes. It is a go to look for most girls, from day to night, dressed up or down. The little black dress is timeless and iconic for a reason -- it is extremely versatile and forever gorgeous.

BETINA OCAMPO

A young designer who shuffles between Manila and New York has been seen on the pages of notable magazines like Vogue US, being called one of the young designers to look out for and was featured in Elle magazine as one of the most stylish women of New York. Her label BETINA showcases high-end, chic and playful sweaters and shirts that pay homage to Asia.

"I would wear a little black dress with leather slides, my favorite pair of sunglasses, a black celestina crocodile tote. No fuss, no frills. My advice for the girl in the little black dress is to keep it natural and enjoy the feeling of invisibility- no make up or flashy jewelry. This would be my go to outfit whenever I spend some alone time."

JOANNA PREYSLER FRANCISCO

Joanna Preysler Francisco and her husband Raul own Carbon, Tint, Hide and Stich, Eterno and her eponymous label Joanna Preylser. Joanna puts her heart into her work and gives herself to her brands, from the bohemian aesthetic of Tint, to the monochrome sleek lines found at Carbon, to the luxe crocodile bags and leather goods found at Joanna Preysler and Eterno.

"A little black dress is iconic yet always in style. What makes the LBD relevant, in context of today's fashion, are the fabric it is made in and the accessories worn with it. The shoes, bag, and jewelry worn will either age it or make it current. So my advice would be: classics are great, but there has to be a twist or a nod to what is du jour."

PATTY ANG

"Well, I've always believed that simplicity is beauty. No matter how simple your little black dress is- what's important is you're confident and comfortable in it. With minimal perfect accessories, the right shoe and bag for the occasion, you're definitely good to go! The best part is its black! Any shoe bag, and or jewelry will be a perfect match!"

"When going for a more dressy look, I suggest to pair it with knock out shoes like gold or nude strappy stilletos, with a statement necklace or earrings and a small clutch.

For a more corporate look, beige pumps with a strand of pearls, a men's sized watch and thin bracelets will work paired with a nice day bag.

For a relaxed weekend look, footwear can be sneakers, strappy flats or ballet flats paired with a chunky necklace or chunky earrings and chunky rings, and a fun colorful tote.

And most importantly, pick a dress that’s comfortable and wear it with confidence. Confidence is the best accessory to a little black dress."
