The House of Repetto once again brings out the beautiful essence of the art of ballet – this time through the eyes of a Parisian dancer.

What better way to bring out the beauty of ballet and live it out in daily life, than to shadow the life of a Parisian dancer and understand the full intricacies of her day-to-day moments – before, during and even after her shows?

This is exactly what the House of Repetto did this season, exploring the detailed transitions between work and play for a professional ballerina.

A typical day starts with morning practice as she slips on her lightweight leotard and long chiffon skirt, ready for studio rehearsals. After the rigorous practice, it’s time for lunch with a quick change into urban wear: a delicate openwork knit gilet top, tucked into a structured skirt and comfortable pumps finished with a camel saddle bag draped over her shoulders.

By evening, she’s back in the dressing room, as she prepares to live the life of another on stage. Hair done, eyes primed, and ribbons tied on her pointe shows, she takes one last look before the mirror, adjusts her tutu, and prepares to perform.

With the last round of applause clapped and curtain fallen, night has only just begun as she ups it in the glamour stakes, just in time for time out downtown, with a chic tailored taffeta and jersey dress, iridescent pumps and structured handbag to store her essentials for the night.
