With her discerning eye for timeless pieces, Liang is a dream client for fashion and lifestyle brands.

Here, she breaks down the items on her December wish list:

“With the holiday season upon us, we’re gearing up for all the parties that happen between November and January. My shopping cart is filled with different outfits, accessories and home essentials to keep up with all the excitement. We can’t go anywhere [at the moment] so it’s nice to freshen up the wardrobe with a bit of sparkle, like this Saloni dress. The bow accent and subtle print are darling and add a nice touch but aren’t overwhelming. I just love the pleats. It’s perfection and such a versatile dress, whether for a children’s ballet performance or going to a holiday party.”

“When I go out, I make sure I have my LA/NYC cotton scarf by Christina Wang since we won’t be visiting home anytime soon. It gives me a bit of the US to carry around with me in Hong Kong. Sol the Label has this ultra- comfy Loungesuit in deep teal that’s a great colour for the holidays. I received one as a present and think it’s just a fantastic gift idea.”

Table Décor, Patrick Mavros

“Once November begins, we entertain nonstop to celebrate all things fall, and our dining table gets a lot of use. Fully extended, it can seat a table of 20, so I’m always rotating plates at home. If we’re doing themed dinner parties, I’ll be looking at Patrick Mavros silver because it adds that bit of whimsy to the table. We love safaris and this place card holder just brings us back to the bush, even if it’s just for an evening.”

Candles, Lane Crawford

“I like to light candles at home to keep the ambience fresh. During the day, I keep the rooms smelling clean and bright as I cook and prepare the house for the evening. I go for the Loewe tomato leaves candle. At night, I transition to something with hints of jasmine and white flowers, so I’ll use Cire Trudon’s Abd El Kader . It’s a beautiful waft of evening florals that transports you to Morocco when you walk through our front door.”

Wrist Warmers, Loro Piana

“Hong Kong gets surprisingly cold: I’m from Boston and I still freeze. I think it’s the humidity that makes everything feel extra chilly. On cosy nights around the fireplace with a mug of piping hot tea, I opt for these Loro Piana wrist warmers. They’re extra soft and you can wear them with a cashmere turtleneck.

I love versatile quality pieces, so the Loro Piana Stefan reversible coat is perfect for the winter holiday. You can wear it out and in. You essentially have two coats in one.”
