CalaQisya's latest collection in collaboration with Disney introduces prints inspired by the magical world of Raya and the Last Dragon
In Disney's latest animated film, Raya and The Last Dragon, a lone warrior embarks on an epic journey in search for the world's last dragon to save their mystical land of Kumandra. An incredible step forward for Southeast Asian representation in films, this movie is written by Qui Nguyen and Adele Lim, the latter being the Malaysian-born screenwriter behind the ground-breaking Crazy Rich Asians.
To celebrate the movie's release, CalaQisya has collaborated with Disney on a collection inspired by the landscapes in the fantasy world of Kumandra.

Over the last decade, CalaQisya has been making its mark in the region with its comfortable and innovative pieces, including the 'tudung stetoskop', designed with ear slits for doctors and later, earphone users. Helmed by CEO Yana Khairudin alongside her sisters, Farah Mislina and Farah Azrina, the female-led modest fashion brand stands for strength and courage. And it is these qualities that the titular character, Raya, voiced by Kelly Marie Tran, must embody during her arduous journey through Kumandra.
"Finally, we have a Disney princess who represents us!" said Khairudin. "We are not exaggerating when we say that this collaboration with Disney is the greatest achievement and huge milestone in the history of CalaQisya that we will remember and cherish for the rest of our lives."
