From athleisure to tailored suits, Jin of BTS always lives up to his nickname of ‘Worldwide Handsome’

Known for his boyish charm and otherworldly good looks, BTS’ oldest member Jin has entertained fans since finishing his military enlistment last June. From heartwarming concerts to exciting brand deals with Gucci and Alo, he continues to prove why both BTS members and fans look up to him.

In preparation for his military enlistment two years ago, Jin released his first solo song, “The Astronaut.” He demonstrated his deep love for fans through the song while switching between different outfits that displayed the breadth of his style, from tailored suits to vibrant sweaters. Since then, he has released a new album “Happy,” which has seen the return of Jin’s relaxed yet elegant taste in clothing as he sings his heart out to fans.

Whether Jin is lounging in Louis Vuitton athleisure or adding an unexpected floral twist, he lives up to his nickname of ‘Worldwide Handsome’. Below, Tatler has rounded up five of Jin’s most iconic outfits to celebrate the BTS member’s birthday.

Global icon

Fans were ecstatic to discover that Jin was Gucci’s newest global brand ambassador in August of this year. “His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique,” shared Sabato De Sarno in an Instagram post.

Last September, Jin attended the Spring Summer 2025 women’s show in Milan. He stunned fans in an iridescent knitted sweater that framed an exquisite array of silver necklaces.

Courtside chic

One of the more athletic members of BTS, Jin loves playing tennis whenever he can. But even off the court, athleisure continues to be one of his signature looks. From indigo tracksuits to elevated neutrals, Jin pulls off any casual outfit effortlessly, so his partnership with athletic apparel brand Alo came as no surprise.

Bold and bright

Jin has never been afraid of playing around with different colours–once, he dyed his hair purple. Now, he chooses to add bold hues to his outfits as in this outfit for his Astronaut music video. Jin looks at home pairing an eye-catching yellow sweater with playful pearls and beaded necklaces, resulting in a whimsical look.

Daydream in denim

For Jin, comfort is a priority when choosing an outfit. At a recent performance, he donned an all-denim set that helped him move freely around onstage and unleash his powerful vocals. This laidback style complements the BTS member, who exudes boy-next-door energy while entertaining fans, no matter what he’s doing.

Tailored with a twist

Living up to his ‘Worldwide Handsome’ nickname, Jin commands attention when he wears suits for formal events. To celebrate BTS’s 11th anniversary this year, Jin held a concert in a charcoal-grey suit that contrasted with his ever-present, sparkling pink microphone. Managing to balance playfulness and elegance is a feat that comes naturally to Jin. With these unexpected quirks in his style, there are sure to be more memorable outfits to come.
