The stylish mother and her adorable little one breeze through The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands in matching outfits from Dolce&Gabbana, Monnalisa, Thom Browne and Versace

“She’s in her princess era”, said Angelina Tan, when Tatler Singapore reached out to do this shoot with her and her daughter Victoria Ngiam. Agreeing to spend the day with us on one condition, that we play dress up in the most fun fashion across The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, the darling duo marks the third and final part of our video series with the luxury mall, showcasing their thoughtful curation of children- and family-focused experiences.

Arriving hand-in-hand with daddy Desmond Ngiam, who made a lasting impression with his Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade fragrance, little Victoria came dressed as princess Anna from Frozen. "Vic has become pretty articulate about what she wants, especially when it comes to what she wears. It's quite fascinating watching my little girl grow up...a little too fast!" expressed Tan. Charming everyone on set with their sweet demeanour, both mum and daughter got their hair and make-up done while watching Blackpink music videos.

From Ralph Lauren Children to Baby Dior, childrenswear options abound at The Shoppes. Angelina and Victoria's search of matching mummy-and-me outfits first brought them to Young Versace. "We don't really match outfits however I do wear dresses quite often, and she's in her princess era so we do end up coordinated somehow," added Tan, "but one thing's for sure—we both love pink".

So naturally, hot pink dominated their Versace selection as Victoria zoomed around the kids boutique filled with excitement from the kaleidoscopic pieces on show. The three-year-old also confidently picked out the perfect accessory, a heart-shaped croc-effect handbag—over a silver star one—to complete her ensemble as she continued to spin around in front of the mirror with mummy.

We then explored a different style at Thom Browne, dressing them in the brand's signature preppy grey suits that complemented each other, albeit with a touch of pale pink for Victoria's outfit accents. A sartorial departure from their more feminine preferences, the pair were absolutely comfortable for more discovery at The Shoppes.

"She's always wanted to go on a sampan ride", whispered Tan. With that mention, combined with little Victoria's "boat!" exclamations throughout the first half of the shoot, we scored them a Sampan Ride where Victoria, despite her tranquil disposition, was truly ecstatic to set sail.

We knew there was one boutique in particular that would bring even more excitement to Victoria: Monnalisa. An Italian brand founded in 1968 synonymous for its whimsical ensembles to live out real-life fairytale moments, it was here that Victoria selected her final look of the day. A glittery tulle number that shone like the midnight sky got Victoria all wide-eyed as she perfectly matched with mum who stunned in a Dolce&Gabbana lace wrap dress.

"Victoria loves the opportunity to dress up, and being her birthday month (note: we filmed this in September), she gets full reign to channel her sassy, girly princess side", described Tan. The loving parents recently threw baby Vic a birthday party, according to her "very specific requests that she waited months and months for".

"It's been a joy watching how confident, articulate and empathetic Victoria has become. Apart from all the fun she had [at her party], we were surprised to find that she was able to express how thankful and grateful she was for everyone's time, blessings and presents".

All dressed up in their final looks for the day, the two headed over to Yardbird Southern Table & Bar. It is known for its hearty American classics, which not only offers a comprehensive menu of family-friendly dishes but also a host of vegetarian and gluten-free options.

"Victoria has allergies so we rarely dine out with her, and when we do, we try to pack home cooked food for her. So it's such a pleasant surprise to see that this restaurant has quite a few gluten-free options suitable for kids, and that they were able to accommodate our specific requests so that she can savour their signatures", Tan said as she proceeded to feed her little girl another bite of gluten-free hickory smoked ribs that is served in punchy housemade barbecue sauce.

The two savoured a table-full of comforting favourites, including the must-try Chicken & Waffles—both original and gluten-free—which came with a side of spiced watermelon, rich and moreish Lobster Mac & Cheese, Smoked Pork Ribs, and an additional side of House Fries that is tossed with bacon salt alongside housemade buttermilk ranch. "It's the first time she's trying fried chicken and French fries—looks like she likes it!", Tan exclaimed.

With Victoria's eyes getting heavy after her hearty meal, their delightful adventure at The Shoppes came to a close. Both mother and daughter headed home with their shopping and a takeaway order of Yardbird's gluten-free fried chicken in hand.
