Mention the words “full-time mom” and to those who know, that basically means superwoman. Multiply that by three and we have Amanda Leong—mother of a seven-, four- and three-year-old—whose days are packed with countless tasks around her kids’ overlapping yet highly organised schedules from school and extracurricular activities, to play dates and well, basically anything and everything to keep them fed, entertained and energised. “My time is almost entirely dedicated to the family—the kids have a lot going on and I plan both theirs and my schedules to a T. This, however, does include very intentional pockets of “mummy time” where I can focus on taking care of myself so I'm recharged to juggle the busy, albeit extremely love-filled, chaos of wife and mum duties.”
So when she does get a break, trust that Leong indulges deeply in self-care, spots of solitude, and well-planned social interactions—something the vivacious Scorpio is a master of. A former model and pageant queen, her beauty and poise are but one side to her story. Her confidence is contagious and she exudes undeniable amounts of it, with an ability to execute fresh-off-the-runway looks and trends that can be credited to her svelte physique but also her outgoing, intuitive spirit. She never fails to turn heads just as well as she works a room with her infectious charm and knack for conversations on bijoux, fast cars, golf and wellness.

And when it comes to her definitions of self-care, they run the gamut: “Some days I yearn for retail therapy and afternoon tea; some nights I just want to go out and let my hair down with the girls; and sometimes, I wanderlust for tropical escapades with the family…and plan trip itineraries immediately.”

Housing all of her indulgences in a single property, it’s no wonder we’ve spotted Leong at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands a number of times over the last few weeks. “There's still something irreplaceable about shopping in-store. It's that instant gratification of finding a piece of clothing that fits like a glove, which is something we can't exactly get with online purchases, and I love the tactile experience of being able to see and touch an item of luxury before buying it—especially when it comes to an intricately designed bag or the fine filigree of jewellery. The Shoppes has a wide and diverse array of options, from coveted timepieces, luxury fashion and beauty, to kids' collections that I can't find anywhere else—and countless dining spots to fuel my sprees.”

Besides carving out time from her hectic days to spend time with Tatler Singapore, La Mer, Cut by Wolfgang Puck, Fendi, Piaget and Koma, she’s also spent some quality time at the TWG Tea Garden, where she savoured their afternoon tea set—having a quiet hour to herself before she had to sprint through The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands in search of an outfit for a last minute girls' night out at Marquee Singapore.
“I usually plan my schedules way in advance, but we have to be spontaneous sometimes, don’t we?” she asked, before stretching those long legs of hers over to the duplex boutiques of Burberry, where she perused their autumn/winter 2023 collection and Dolce&Gabbana, where she slipped into a few pieces covered in cherry prints—their key motif of the season. The style savant then traipsed over to Valentino to browse their scintillating Locò bags and Rockstud heels, and Bulgari for a closed-door viewing of the Italian house's Serpenti and Diva's Dream high jewellery pieces—an experience that satiated her affinity for dramatic bijoux.
“The options are endless, but for a night out with the girls, I was searching for something sharp and sultry but fuss-free...with a touch of sparkle to keep things exciting.”
Armed with her wide smile and luscious locks pulled into a sleek up-do, decked in an all-black Bottega Veneta midi dress, dazzling Valentino minaudiere and her equally gleaming stack of arm candy, the 31-year-old fashion chameleon then vanished into the flashing neon lights of Marquee Singapore for a well-deserved night of revelry.
