Here’s the rundown on the best of style this February 2025
Once again, style came in full force this month, offering an exciting array of fashion, beauty, and jewellery highlights. We had the opportunity to explore new collections, attend exclusive previews, and mingle with some of our favourite recurring faces in the Tatler sphere. This month, the spotlight shone on designers at Filipinxt, who represented the country with head-turning looks at New York Fashion Week. Later this month, we’re also looking forward to a special exhibition mounted by The Metropolitan Museum of Manila in tribute to legendary couturier Jose “Pitoy” Moreno.

Filipinxt holds its third iteration at New York Fashion Week
Filipinxt celebrates the third iteration of their groundbreaking endeavour to promote Philippine style on the global fashion stage. Proudly included on the official New York Fashion Week calendar, the event showcased the collections of five designers: Jasmine Baac (Bagoyan), Adante Leyesa, Leo Bartolome (Edited Limited), Bessie Besana, and Gabby Garcia (Tagpi).
Ariana Grande’s collaboration with Swarovski
Ariana Grande’s collaboration with Swarovski has arrived in the Philippines, marked by an opening event at Rustan’s Shangri-La Plaza. Inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, the 16-piece capsule collection includes bracelets and earrings featuring musical note motifs. Creations are enriched with pearl detailing and crystals in a variety of cuts and settings. A heart pendant and a tiara serve as playful nods to Grande’s style and trademark femininity.

BJ Pascual celebrates his birthday with Estée Lauder
Photographer and social media personality BJ Pascual invited friends and colleagues to an exclusive gathering in celebration of his birthday. An intimate brunch hosted by Estée Lauder was held at Papillon in Makati, where guests were treated to food and champagne. They were also given a chance to try out the beauty brand’s cult-favourite Double-Wear Matte Foundation.
Aesop Aurner de Parfum
Beloved for their nuanced scents, Aesop introduces Aurner Eau de Parfum, their newest creation in the floral fragrance family. Created in collaboration with noted perfumer Céline Barel, its subversive composition blends rich herbaceous notes with gentle floral accords and a metallic base—an unconventional bouquet meant to embody strength and tenderness.
‘Timeless: J Moreno’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila
The late high society couturier Jose “Pitoy” Moreno is set to be the focus of an exhibition, entitled Timeless: J Moreno at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila. This special occasion honouring one of the godfathers of Filipino fashion will be from February 27 to June 19 at the museum’s North Gallery. Its opening date coincides with the centennial anniversary of the designer’s birth.
