Maticevski Mystery Gown

Australian designer Toni Maticevski is known for his sculptured and modern creations, and with a futuristic theme in mind, his eponymous brand is definitely one to turn to. His Mystery dress from FW18 is expertly crafted with an asymmetrical sleeve and a flattering pleat detail at the hip. Pair this with metallic accessories for a minimal yet space-age look.

Mugler Embellished Crepe Gown

Mugler is a historic French fashion atelier that has constantly explored the notions of space and futurism (even his fragrance Alien immediately come to mind). Currently at the house's helms is Georgian designer David Koma, who continues designing with this spirit in mind. This burgundy gown features butterfly embellishments and a waistline cutout, but arguably the most iconic part of the dress is the rounded peak shoulders- classic Mugler.

Vintage Paco Rabanne Maxi Dress

Nothing earns style points quite like styling up a covetable vintage ensemble for a special event. And look no further than this one-of-a-kind Paco Rabanne dress from the 1990s. Crafted from silver rhodoid and lined in black silk, this couture dress is practically a work of art.

Versace Draped Hooded Maxi Dress

Star Wars is easily the first film that comes to mind when thinking science and space, and who better to reference than Princess Leia herself? Sport this Versace hooded dress, straight off their FW18 catwalk, for a look that will turn heads. And an added bonus? You won’t even have to worry about getting your hair done.

Dundas One-Shoulder Tulle-Trimmed Embellished Crepe Gown

No designer does red carpet quite like Dundas. As the former creative director for Roberto Cavalli and Pucci, Peter Dundas has since gone on to create his own eponymous label,  a go-to for the international fashion set, such as Poppy Delevingne, Eugenie Niarchos, and Bianca Brandolini D’Adda. This one-shoulder gown is guaranteed to hug your figure in all the right places, all while being held together in shimmering little arrows.

Galvan Galaxy Dress

With space and all things futuristic as this year’s theme, there’s not a doubt that something with a bit of shine will work perfectly for the occasion. This Galvan dress (appropriately named Galaxy) is a fuss-free piece that can be worn and kept for years to come. With its high neck and sleeveless silhouette, we suggest pairing it with a pair of statement earrings and killer heels (that will peek through the thigh-high slit).
