YSL Beauty’s bespoke lipstick shade device made its Singapore debut last weekend

Lip colours designed by you, styled by YSL Beauty. The highly anticipated Rouge Sur Mesure custom lip colour creator has finally made it to our island, a groundbreaking convergence of beauty and technology. The device allows you to create thousands of custom shades from seven colour universes including red, orange, pink, and nude—and dispenses the velvety liquid lipstick into a YSL compact for effortless touch-ups on the go.

Last Saturday, we hosted our Tatler friends at Ion Orchard’s YSL boutique for an exclusive private workshop, where the beauty enthusiasts in our community were among the first to experience the Rouge Sur Mesure.

Led by YSL beauty brand educator Kenneth Yeo, the session opened with a live demonstration of the device. Yeo shared that colours can be chosen in four different ways: shade palette, shade match, YSL shade stylist and “Get The Look”. Our guests learned how the YSL companion app utilises the camera on their mobile phones to customise different colour shades to match their mood, skin tone, and stylish ensembles.

Following the demonstration, guests were invited to try their hand at creating customised lipsticks, tailored exactly to their preferences. Guided by YSL beauty ambassadors, our Tatler friends were delighted to design one-of-a-kind lip colours for themselves. After getting all dolled up, the afternoon drew to a close with a photo shoot where they revelled in showing off their luminous and personalised pouts.
