Create your own scent with Bulgari’s Allegra line
How many ways can you customise a scent? For the Bulgari Allegra, there is literally an infinite number of ways to do so, and these endless possibilities have only become even more varied with three new additions to the line this year.
Launched in 2021, the Allegra collection is a revelation that redefines the idea of a unique, personal scent. Creating an individualised fragrance isn’t a new concept, of course, but the Allegra allows its wearers to have infinitely customisable ones—which can still smell different every time they are worn. To accomplish this, the Allegra comprises two related sub‑collections: a line of eaux de parfum and a range of magnifying essences. By adding your choice of essence to the eau de parfum, and varying their intensities vis‑à‑vis each other, one is able to create a truly unique fragrance for herself.

The additions to the Allegra line this year consist of the Spettacolore and Baciami eaux de parfum, as well as the Magnifying Myrrh Essence. Like the rest of the collection, each scent encapsulates an aspect of Italian dolce vita.
Spettacolore evokes the enchantment of the Festa della Luce (literally “Festival of Lights”), which is celebrated on the winter solstice every year in the region of Apulia. The festival’s spectacle of bright lights and fireworks is mirrored by the eau de parfum’s rich floral note of iris. Powdery, earthy and creamy all at once, this complex olfactory “chord” seems almost iridescent, like a scene from the festival itself, with the effect further enhanced by crisp citrus accents.
In contrast, Baciami alludes to the fiery romance of Italy. This eau de parfum’s very name is a passionate entreaty—“kiss me!”—and it promises to send the heart racing with its floral, ambery profile. Baciami is built around the gardenia, a tropical wildflower that defies traditional perfume distillery processes. Recreating this note thus demands both an ardent nose and a delicate touch, which are needed to capture its lush, creamy essence in a fragrance accord. In turn, the note of gardenia is accompanied by the potent, addictive scent of vanilla. The result? A passionate rapture that perfectly encapsulates Italian love.
