How long do you typically spend on your skincare routine?

Once you get the hang of managing the routine, it can be pretty fast; it takes less than five minutes for me, in fact.

What is your skincare routine like for the day?

It is a basic routine: cleansing, toning, layering with serum for both eyes and face. Then, I apply eye cream, face cream and not forgetting sunscreen.

The key is to layer everything and give each layer some time to absorb. Don’t just pile everything at once.

What is your skincare routine for the night?

For my night, it tends to be a little bit more intensive, because I like to mask my face and I will spend some time massaging my face and neck. This is followed by my normal routine of applying serum, eye care and face care. I like to do this with a facial device when I'm at home.

What was the last skincare product that you bought?

Two masks: MTM Skincare Overnight Re-boost Mask and also Fresh's Vitamin Nectar mask.

Are there any new skincare trends that you’re excited to try?

One of the skincare trends that I’ve tried last year is to include our ‘No Pollution’ skincare range in my routine after realising the impact of how pollutants can affect our skin condition.

The most recent trend would be the Honey Skin trend! It's all about achieving smooth, hydrated and plump skin. With a healthy glow that's radiant... like honey.

When did you start paying extra attention to your skin?

I was only 12 when my mum introduced me to a bottle of cleanser. She said, "Good skin starts from having a good cleansing routine." When your child starts puberty, you should also introduce them to good beauty products. This goes a long way.

What’s one skincare must-have you’ve “influenced” others to purchase?

I would say MTM Eye Mask because it’s our signature product over the decades and it’s also our best-selling product. You can really see the result after the first time you applied it. Another one is our MTM Overnight Re-boost Mask. It’s good for busy n lazy women. You sleep with it without washing and your face glows the next day.

What’s a skincare product you can’t live without?

MTM Skin Repair Essence. It is an all-purpose serum for anti-ageing. I want to stay youthful for a long time. And it’s an essence that works from the inside out.

Also: face masks! I apply it every day during my morning workout!

What’s the most important skincare step to you?

Cleansing, because good skin starts from proper cleansing! If you don’t do it well, your skin can never be good. It blocks the absorption of the products you are applying.

Where and what is your go-to facial?

MTM skincare, for sure! Our skin condition changes through time, environment and lifestyle. A custom-blended solution that is tailor-made just for my skin will never go wrong. Our skincare experts will suggest the most suitable treatment solution for me, targeted to my unique skin condition and needs.

Is skincare the new self-care? What are your thoughts on this?

No. For centuries, women have spent time [trying to maintain youthful skin]. It’s a must for most women. So to me, self-care equates self-love.

If you don't love yourself, no one will. I think everyone should always invest their time and effort to do proper skincare. After a long and busy day, use that little time you have to take care of yourself. You’re not just cleansing your skin but also wiping away your stress and negative emotions. And all you need to do is just love yourself and take care of yourself to have a good start to a new day or have a good rest at the end of the day.

What is one piece of skincare advice?

Start young. Start now. Your skin can’t wait. The earlier you start, the younger you will look compared to your peers. Of course, the continuity after starting is key.
