Meet the husband-and-wife duo behind one of Kuala Lumpur’s best-kept beauty secrets
One of the first things that welcomes you when you walk into Glo House at The Stories of Taman Tunku is the stunning views of lush greenery—a tranquil oasis within an already idyllic neighbourhood in the heart of the city. The space, decorated in soft sage green hues, invites you to leave stress and struggles at the door, as does its proprietor, Wiwin Zulkifli.
The co-founder of Glo House, which she founded in 2022 alongside her husband, Adam Dzuhari, is the heart of this hidden gem, offering relaxing facial treatments for both men and women. Sitting down with Tatler, the young couple shares how they brought Glo House to life.

Glo House emphasises holistic facial therapy rather than a one-off activity. Before each treatment, Wiwin checks in with her clients with a detailed consultation to assess their skin concerns, beauty routine, diet, and lifestyle before recommending the most suitable treatment for an appropriate duration. “We want to cater to the different phases that the skin goes through and get to the root cause of any skin concerns,” she says.
This holistic, integrated approach also factored into the duo’s decision to set up shop in Bukit Tunku. “We are all about building a community. We chose to be in a neighbourhood with a big grocery store, cafes, schools and offices nearby to encourage people from all walks of life to enjoy a moment of relaxation,” says Adam.
“Consistency is key, so we want to be able to fit into different lifestyles and offer tailored advice based on that.”

Above The consultation is the first and most crucial step of a beauty treatment at Glo House

Tried and tested, the facials at Glo House highlight its beauticians' in-depth knowledge of the skin, meticulous attention to its needs and dedication to ensuring effectiveness as much as relaxation. The consultation focuses on how they can work together to achieve skin goals, with frank but gentle conversations to discuss realistic timelines, clear up misconceptions and manage expectations. "There is so much information online; the best way to educate yourself is to read up, get as much as you can out of it but also seek professional opinion so that you can filter through all that to figure out what works and, more importantly, what works for you in the long term," says Wiwin.
The intimate studio offers a spacious treatment room large enough for two, separated by a curtain—which can be drawn back on request when coming as a group of two. For this writer, the treatment recommended from Glo House's comprehensive menu was the one-hour Radiance Booster, expertly carried out by Wiwin herself in such a calming manner that even the extraction portion of the experience was a swift intermission followed by a cooling massage to soothe the skin and indeed, significantly boost its radiance.
Down to the selection of facial products and post-facial skincare recommendations, which include local brand B&B Labs, each treatment at Glo House is thoughtfully curated and expertly executed. In every way, it promises a restful and relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
