Chanel Misia

it is a fragrance that draws from friendship in its essence – that of Misia and Chanel.

Before Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel was anybody, there was Misia.

Born Misia Godebska, her influence in the world of arts and fashion was so profound that her first name alone carried enough weight. She represented a unique radiance, a charisma of a person born to reveal gifts, unite talents and stimulate creative energies.

She was also Gabrielle Chanel’s ultimate friend.

It was she who helped Chanel become a key figure in modernity by introducing her to her inner circle of the artistic and literary avant-garde. It was also she who planted in Chanel the idea of a fragrance of her own line, that eventually led to the creation of the now iconic Chanel No 5.

To pay tribute to the close relationship Misia has always played with Chanel, perfumer Olivier Polge has created a special Les Exclusifs de Chanel perfume for Chanel’s number one confidante.

Aptly called Misia, the perfume which is also Polge’s first Les Exclusifs fragrance, celebrates the momentous turning point when Chanel first met Misia. Rather than embody Misia as a woman, it celebrates the energy that Misia and Chanel generate when they come together.

The feminine blend of May rose and violet open the new fragrance, intertwined with just a hint of leather, evoking the air of a backstage theatre. Above all, it is a fragrance that draws from friendship in its essence – that of Misia and Chanel.

Discover the new fragrance here. It will be available at the Chanel fragrance boutique at Suria KLCC from 1 August 2015.
