The serum now comes with the skincare brand’s signature Lumidose and a new caviar-derived ingredient that targets sallow skin to give you a luminous complexion like never before
Long-time fans of La Prairie’s White Caviar Pearl Infusion will be ecstatic to know that the skin-brightening powerhouse has just received an upgrade that will give its already extraordinary illuminating effects a serious boost. The coveted serum was originally introduced with these key capabilities—reducing discolouration and increasing the quality of the reflective elements of the skin, both on its surface and deep within.
Today, the new iteration of White Caviar Pearl Infusion also targets the issue of sallow, yellow- or grey-tinged skin, thus boasting even stronger brightening effects by correcting these skin problems that contribute to the appearance of dull, lacklustre skin.
At the heart of the serum is a proprietary ingredient called Lumidose, an illuminating molecule that took the skincare brand no less than 15 years of research to come up with. The most potent inhibitor known, to date, of human tyrosinase (the enzyme responsible for the formation of the brown pigment melanin), it helps to reduce the appearance of brown spots on the skin. La Prairie has also devised a way to deliver it straight to where it is needed—double encapsulation technology ensures its optimal penetration of the skin, sending Lumidose to the bottom-most layer of the epidermis where the formation of melanin takes place.

Now, here’s another addition that makes the latest version of the serum different from the preceding ones—a brand-new extract made from caviar. Known as Swiss Golden Caviar Minerals, this ingredient work as activators of antioxidant enzymes in the skin, which act to fight oxidative stress, a key cause of the developing of yellow, red and brown pigmentation in skin.
“Lumidose was introduced to La Prairie’s White Caviar collection in 2018. Since then, it has been implemented in all White Caviar products, and now we have included it in the White Caviar Pearl Infusion. For the first time, we also introduced Swiss Golden Caviar Minerals, designed to reduce the appearance of yellowness, redness and age spots. The serum now improves the appearance of a sallow, yellowish skin tone, which is a result of glycation,” said Dr Jacqueline Hill, Global Director of Strategic Innovation and Science, and Dr Daniel Stangl, Director of Innovation, La Prairie.

Besides the abovementioned illuminating active ingredients, the latest White Caviar Pearl Infusion also contains Swiss Golden Caviar Extract to help densify the dermal collagen network. Not only does the serum target pigmentation issues, it also works to improve skin firmness, which is a factor that also affects the skin’s ability to reflect light. This, in turn, contributes to how luminous the complexion looks.
As with all La Prairie products, White Caviar Pearl Infusion is designed to provide an elegant usage experience. The serum has a light-infused appearance, immediately catching the eye with its subtle pearlescence. The texture feels refreshing and yet hydrating, and as the signature caviar beads suspended in the serum are dispensed, they melt and transform into a refined, lightweight gel that glides easily across the skin. Naturally, the serum is best used with other complementary products from the White Caviar collection, although it’s skin brightening effects will shine just as well on its own.
The La Prairie White Caviar Pearl Infusion is available at S$1,150 for 30ml at all La Prairie Counters: ION Orchard, #B1-15A, Metro Paragon, Takashimaya D.S., and TANGS at Tang Plaza.
