We’ve listed down some of the exciting events in beauty that kept our calendar filled this July
August kept us busy with the most happening beauty events in the city.
This month, we immersed ourselves in the world of Dr Jart+’s game-changing line of products that face-off even the most stubborn skin issues. We stopped by Vestido Studio to try out Kayali’s exquisite array of scents, now available in the Philippines. We also joined Lancôme’s first Filipino brand ambassador, Kathryn Bernardo, at Idôle House, where we sampled the brand’s newest fragrances.

Dr Jart+ arrives in the Philippines
It’s not a doctor; it’s a philosophy. Dr Jart+, the cutting-edge Korean skincare brand, officially launched in the Philippines earlier this month. This cult-favourite company pioneered the invention of BB Cream, setting the skincare standard as makeup.
The brand’s launch was held at Whitespace Manila on July 1, where skincare enthusiasts took part in Dr Jart-themed activities, from a personalised skin exam to various mini-games.

Kayali Perfume introduces Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar | 42
Kayali Perfume has finally made its way to the hands of an excited Filipino fanbase. The brand, a fragrance line from the ever-so-popular Huda Beauty, boats an impressive line of addictive scents, from floral and fruity to woody and complex. Its selection includes popular picks like Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33, Eden Juicy Apple | 01, and the new Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar | 42. Each fragrance is made with a high concentration of perfume oil to ensure day-to-night longevity.
Kayali was unveiled at an event held on July 4 at Vestido Studios.

Lancôme Idôle invited beauty enthusiasts on a playdate to Idôle House, a pop-up beauty hub and immersive experience that opened to the public on July 19 at The Balmori Tent. The brand recently tapped FAMAS award-winning actress Kathryn Bernardo as its first Filipino brand ambassador.
There, she helped unveil Lancôme's newest fragrance, Idôle Eau de Parfum, a bewitching scent with bursts of citrus, rose, vanilla, and other fresh floral notes.

Bobbi Brown cosmetics recently tapped South Korean actress Kim Youjung, known for her roles in 20th Century Girl and My Demon, as their new brand ambassador for the Asia Pacific region. Her appointment is line with the brand's approach to celebrating confidence in individual beauty.
Youjung reveals some of her favourite products are the brand's Weightless Skin Foundation, Vitamin Enriched Face Base. She recalls that first fell in love with Bobbi Brown when she first used their Extra Lip Tiny.
“Real beauty to me is simple. It’s about looking your most natural self regardless of the time, place and moment. I strongly believe that beauty lives within but a little makeup can help highlight your best features,” says the actress.

At an exclusive lunch held on July 31, Luxasia introduced four new luxury fragrances to the Philippines. These include two masculine scents, Legend Blue by Montblanc and Red Leather by Ferragamo, and two feminine ones, Crush by MCM and Bloom by Kate Spade.
