To celebrate La Prairie’s newest barrier-restoring launch, guests gathered at The Mondrian for a curated caviar tasting, individual skin consultations, and a hands-on masterclass in targeting modern skin fatigue

Few ingredients carry the quiet authority of caviar, both on the plate and at the vanity table. On Thursday (September 10), Tatler joined forces with Swiss luxury beauty brand La Prairie to unveil the house’s latest skin innovation, hosting two intimate sessions at the Shophouse Suites in The Mondrian, tucked along Duxton Hill. Across these by-invite-only sittings, 20 guests gathered for an exclusive first look at the new Swiss Pristine collection.

The host for the event, Tatler Singapore’s senior digital and branded content editor Andrea Saadan, kicked off the session by introducing guests to La Prairie’s latest formulation focus: the Swiss Pristine Collection. This followed with a presentation by the La Prairie team to unpack the science behind the range, keeping the conversation grounded in skin performance.

The collection addresses what the brand terms “modern fatigue”, essentially the cumulative toll of travel, environmental aggressors, and blue light exposure that leads to an overworked skin barrier.

Swiss Pristine is built as a three-step ritual—essence, serum, cream—and each step carries the same trio of ingredients in different concentrations.

Three ingredients anchor the collection. Swiss Glacial Minerals, sourced from the Valais Alps, supply calcium, magnesium and potassium to support barrier strength, repair and water balance, encapsulated in plant-derived liposomes that release only on contact with skin. HyPower LP52, developed with two Swiss universities, is a biotech ingredient designed to help skin adapt to stress rather than simply defend against it. And the Exclusive Cellular Complex, La Prairie’s long-standing signature ingredient, rounds things out—credited with protecting against external stressors, energising renewal, and reinforcing resilience.

Sensory texture took centre stage for the rest of the evening. Guests worked their way through a curated three-course caviar menu designed to mirror the rich, tactile nature of the formulas. The formulas deliver deep nourishment with a weightless finish—a necessary balance for Singapore’s heat—while the application technique emphasised light patting over heavy dragging to support optimal absorption.

Later, La Prairie’s specialists ran one-on-one skin consultations, assessing individual barrier health before offering tailored hand massages with the collection as well as offered pampering hand massages using La Prairie’s products.

As the event wrapped up, guests headed home with gift sets and personalised skin notes. It offered a welcome pause in the middle of a busy week: good food, sharp formulation, and a clear reminder of how to get the most out of a daily routine.
