The French maison adds two new types of mineral face powder and two luxurious new makeup brushes to its beauty repertoire

One year ago, Hermès Beauty showcased its own line of complexion products by introducing Plein Air—a range of tinted balms that enhanced the complexion naturally.

Today, the French maison expands the collection with H Trio—two new types of face powder that are still meant to help achieve that healthy glow and a vibrant, radiant look.

Gregoris Pyrpylis, creative director for Hermès Beauty, explains: “The H Trio powders are a continuation of the Plein Air collection that is imbued with a sense of movement, radiance, light and freedom. They reflect the strong bond between humans and nature—specifically with the sun, whose beautifying light and warmth illuminate not only the skin but also the mind; and with the earth and its thousand and one sensual shades that embellish the complexion in the most effortless way.”

The H Trio Healthy Glow Mineral Powder is a finely iridescent, semi-matte, pigmented powder while the H Trio Iridescent Mineral Powder features a high concentration of mother-of-pearl and is used to illuminate the skin to highlight its natural beauty.

These exceptionally silky powders are derived from technology that produces the softest and finest possible particles of powder, which melt into the skin for buildable intensity and long-lasting results. The Healthy Glow Mineral Powder also blurs imperfections and unifies the complexion for all skin types, even the most sensitive. Composed of 88 per cent ingredients of natural origin, the formulas of both powders are designed to enhance natural beauty as well as care for the skin thanks to a hyaluronic acid derivative.

The seven colour combinations for both types of mineral powders share a palette of shades inspired by brilliant sunlight and a multitude of earthy hues. The Healthy Glow Powder is available in five colour combinations, each of which is composed of a trio of shades, to be used individually or blended. The Iridescent Mineral Powder is available in two colour combinations, each composed of a trio of complementary shades.

Aesthetic and functional

Any Hermes Beauty product is incomplete without a recognisable motif. For the powders, the surface of each is stamped with the house’s iconic H passant motif. This graphic, Art Deco-influenced signature, created in the mid-1920s for Hermès the saddler, has been reinterpreted over the years, its proportions subtly modified to keep it modern.

Sustainable and chic

The healthy glow mineral powder and iridescent mineral powder both come in a refillable powder compact. Designed by Pierre Hardy, designer of Hermès Beauty objects and creative director of Hermès shoes and jewellery, it is similar to the compact case for the Plein Air Radiant Powders with its brushed gold metal base and lacquered white lid featuring the ex-libris in gold-coloured permabrass.

The opening mechanism is now updated, as the magnet is replaced with a discreet hook in an innovative and eco-friendly move that makes the object light and portable. The compact has also been enlarged to allow users to collect powder using a brush with a broad, sweeping movement. This helps to increase the powder’s lifespan too.

Les Pinceaux Hermès

For those who have grown to become fans of Hermès Beauty brushes, you will be pleased to know that these brushes now form a collection in their own right: Les Pinceaux Hermès.

True objets d’art designed by Pierre Hardy, each Hermès Beauty brush is presented in one of the house’s signature orange boxes.

The two new additions in this collection are Le Précis and Le Voyageur. The former is designed to offer a precise, buildable application of the iridescent mineral powders and features a long wooden handle lacquered in three colours and adorned with a soft pink ring. The brush hairs are composed of ultra-soft natural goat hair fibres hand-assembled by a French company specialising in brush-making since 1793.

Le Voyageur is perfect for travellers and on-the-go makeup applications because of its small size and durability. It features easy-to-clean synthetic fibres, so it is especially convenient for travel. It releases just the right amount of powder onto the skin for a sheer colour finish and is also suitable for applying all types of powder, whether to illuminate specific areas or for a more light-diffusing result.
