This year, Guerlain reintroduces the well-loved Double R Renew & Repair Advanced Serum

In 2018, Guerlain introduced the Double R Renew & Repair Advanced Serum, a product that combined a double peeling and lifting action in a serum, which instantly became a skincare staple for many. However, the French luxury house is not one to cease exploring new terrains, and this holds true as Guerlain found ways to elevate the serum through years of research.

This year, Guerlain revealed the new Abeille Royale Double R Renew & Repair Advanced Serum (which is now available in the Philippines) along with new products such as the Nerolia Vetiver scent during an intimate morning affair in June 2022 at Shangri-La The Fort.

The pavilion, which was decked with florals, was transformed into Guerlain's garden of wonders, highlighting the gift and beauty of nature. "Everything about Abeille Royale is really dedicated to these life-giving insects called [bees]," said Lesley Shepherdson Su, Guerlain's Southeast Asia Retail Manager.

Guerlain made the Double R Renew & Repair Advanced Serum with deep consideration for nature by using 96 per cent naturally derived ingredients.

The serum is a fusion of opposing sensory properties which are initially separated and then blended equally in the palm of the hand. The translucent gel has an incredibly fresh and soft texture. Although it has a velvety feel, the serum has no sticky effect when applied. The fresh notes and honeyed scent is created by the House of Guerlain's master perfumer Thierry Wasser.

Even then, the serum has anti-ageing efficacy, can reinforce skin barrier, even skin complexion, smoothen the skin, and has a lifting effect reinforced by the action of bio-polyfermented honey on the skin's tension structures.

Made in partnership with the glassmaker Verescence, the serum is then housed in a double glass bottle—which is made from 20 per cent recycled glass—to lessen the use of plastic.
