Guerlain combines natural ingredients with new skin science in its complete care range

With their vibrant colours, delicate petals and captivating fragrances, orchids have long been a symbol of beauty and refinement, but these exotic flowers also hold the key to achieving a flawless complexion and a youthful glow.

For thousands of years, dating as far back as the 28th century BC, orchids have been used in traditional Chinese medicine, which prizes them for their potent phytochemicals and therapeutic benefits. They’ve historically been used to treat illnesses, strengthen the immune system, improve eyesight and soothe the digestive system, but the orchid’s skincare potential has been left untapped.

With nature-inspired innovation at its core, Guerlain has dedicated more than 18 years of research to the science of orchids, leading to the creation of its latest beauty breakthrough: Guerlain’s Orchidée Impériale Micro-Lift Concentrate.

Like the rest of Guerlain’s Orchidée Impériale line, the new Micro-Lift Concentrate is based around Orchid Totum, a powerful patented active ingredient that combines the healing properties of two orchid species: Gastrodia elata and Dendrobium fimbriatum.

What’s especially groundbreaking is the new technology known as tri-concentration, which combines three different concentrates, including Orchid Totum, to plump, firm and sculpt the skin simultaneously. It’s essentially three high-powered serums in one bottle, designed to work in harmony, and produces noticeable results from day one.

Made with over 95 per cent naturally derived and sustainably sourced ingredients, the new “tri-serum” has been shown to perform to a high standard, too. According to tests, 91 per cent of users found their skin more radiant, 89 per cent said it was smoother and a whopping 92 per cent reported that the overall beauty of their skin had improved—including Hong Kong actress Louise Wong. Known for her role in the movie Anita, Wong appreciates highly efficient products. As an actress, she uses the serum morning and night to regenerate and repair her skin after long days on set.

“The texture of the cream is very soft and smooth and it smells really good,” says Wong. “I also use the eye cream for massaging my eyes and mouth. You can feel how moisturised and hydrated it leaves your skin.”

With a delicate, dewy texture that melts into the skin, and a fresh, botanical scent, the Orchidée Impériale Micro-Lift Concentrate feels every bit as luxurious as the Guerlain name suggests. Try the skin-perfecting powers of orchid extract in Guerlain’s Orchidée Impériale line, an iconic trilogy of skincare products: the new Micro-Lift Concentrate, The Cream and The Molecular Concentrate Eye Cream.
