The Crème Ancienne White Truffle Overnight Mask has been designed to leave skin looking softer and smoother, and has inspired an indulgent afternoon tea set to elevate the pampering experience
The quest for perfect skin dates back millennia. The world’s first skin cream, formulated by Claudius Genus—an ancient Roman scientist known for formulating balms for gladiators—serves as inspiration for modern-day skincare brand Fresh.
Fresh’s Crème Ancienne collection is designed to improve skin elasticity and texture. Products in the range have been formulated using meadowfoam seed oil, known for its moisturising and smoothing properties, and chamomile wax, which helps to combat dry skin. Not only does its name draw upon ancient inspiration, but its modern-day manufacturing pays tribute to the past, too. Crème Ancienne products are made and packaged in a Trappist monastery in the Czech Republic.

The latest addition to the collection, the White Truffle Overnight Mask (HK$3,380/100ml), draws upon the rare, earthy ingredient’s youthful properties. Sourcing quality truffles from Alba in Italy’s Piedmont region, the truffle can only be foraged, not cultivated, adding to their exclusivity and rarity. Fresh co-founder Lev Glazman sought out the white truffle for its ability to strengthen the skin’s natural moisturising properties, while being gentle enough for use on even the most sensitive skin.
Gentle though it may be, the White Truffle Overnight Mask packs a punch, and can be used to help lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin elasticity and density. Its opulent, rich texture make for the perfect overnight indulgence, and the mask has been carefully formulated to release all the white truffle’s bioactive molecules and restorative and regenerative properties, supporting smoother and firmer skin.
