Dior Prestige La Crème arrives backed by a decade of longevity research and a rose bred exclusively for skincare, proof that clinical rigour and sheer indulgence can co-exist
Certain luxury products ask you to take them on faith. But Dior Prestige La Crème insists that you pay attention to the data. At the centre of the reformulation sits the Dior Skin Longevity Compass, a mapping of 15 pathways of skin ageing developed with Vadim Gladyshev, a professor of medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, whose longevity research has been applied to skincare here for the first time. This sort of scientific credential would normally sit awkwardly beside a jar this beautiful. Somehow, here, it doesn’t.
The reinvented formula is driven by Rosapeptide-3, a complex drawn from the Rose de Granville, the first rose ever cultivated specifically for cosmetic use. Three times more concentrated than its predecessor and designed to target all three layers of the skin, the complex is credited with reversing the biological age of skin cells by a decade. In an LVMH study of 289 women, the cream acted on ten visible signs of ageing, leaving skin looking firmer, denser and visibly less lined.

Built around Nutri-rosapeptide, an ingredient containing a high concentration of the Rose de Granville’s micro-nutrients, the serum delivers its active ingredients via thousands of micro-pearls, and is designed to prime skin before the cream’s richer work begins.

The products’ release also highlight some of the maison’s green efforts: Granville Garden, where the eponymous rose is grown, has moved towards regenerative agriculture; and the cream’s redesigned jar cuts its carbon footprint by a third.
