Dior perfume amphora

Dior’s new generation of amphoras are a part of an ultra-exclusive bespoke service offered only at the Salon du Parfums at Harrod’s.

When Christian Dior first created his iconic fragrance, the Miss Dior, the precious juice was bottled in stunning tall glass bottles called amphoras. His subsequent favourite scents – the Diorama, Diorissimo and Diorling – were all also bottled in the sensuous curvaceous bottle most recognisable by its figure-8 silhouette.

Then came the trend to bottle perfumes in individually-designed bottles to give each an identity and stand them apart aesthetically, which saw the amphoras being kept away.

After close to half a century, Dior is bringing the amphora back for true perfume appreciators to store their favourite scents in the way it should be.

Dior’s new generation of amphoras are a part of an ultra-exclusive bespoke service offered only at the Salon du Parfums at Harrod’s. Your bespoke amphora can be made to measure and they can also be customised to have a date engraved or a set of initials carved for a more personalised touch.

Once you’ve had your amphora filled with a fragrance of your choice – your options range from the brand’s most iconic fragrances like Miss Dior to more recent modern marvels like J’Adore and Addict – a perfume bow will seal the bottle and Christian Dior's favourite symbol, a star, will be stamped at the bottom.

Now you have a perfume amphora made specially for you containing your favourite Dior scent. Should the fragrance run out, you’re not stuck with just an empty amphora either; you can get it refilled with any of Dior’s 43 famous fragrances.
