Dior introduces Rose Star, a fragrance by Francis Kurkdjian, honouring the Centifolia rose and star in five radiant facets
Christian Dior’s world was always shaped by symbols: a star glimpsed on the streets of Paris in 1946 and the roses that flourished in his gardens from Normandy to the Château de La Colle Noire. These treasured motifs come together in Rose Star, the latest creation by Francis Kurkdjian for La Collection Privée Christian Dior.
More than fragrance, Dior saw perfume as an extension of couture, the subtle signature that reflects both heritage and daring. In Rose Star, Kurkdjian interprets the Centifolia rose with a contemporary touch, draping it like fabric and revealing its facets with depth and contrast, creating a scent of a lifetime.

Above The Dior Rose Star fragrance blends femininity and masculinity in a generous, enveloping scent faceted like a five-point star.
Five facets of the Centifolia Rose
The fragrance unfolds in five luminous expressions, echoing the five points of Dior’s talismanic star and inspired by the Centifolia rose, a flower that has long been central to Christian Dior’s creative vision.
A zesty brightness rises first before giving way to juicy, fruity notes of lychee, raspberry and pear. A whisper of Sichuan pepper brings warmth to the spicy facet, while a velvety, musky accord softens the edges. Finally, an addictive honeyed note lingers on the skin, enveloping and radiant, much like the timeless elegance of the rose itself.

Above Rose Star features Dior’s couture caps, with fifteen designs inspired by the House’s iconic patterns, the perfect finishing touch for your fragrance
Even the design honours Dior’s couture spirit. Rose Star joins the bottles of La Collection Privée, crowned with couture lids and adorned with patterns and prints drawn from the House’s most iconic codes, elegant details that turn every spritz into a ritual of refinement.
Generous yet refined, feminine yet masculine, Rose Star is more than a fragrance. It embodies Dior’s heritage reimagined for today, a poetic perfume celebrating beauty, destiny, and the timeless dialogue between tradition and modernity.
“The rose is truly a gift from nature, containing as it does myriad facets with powerful, almost infinite dimensions. There are so many varieties of rose it is easy to get lost!” Kurkdjian says. “And yet, paradoxically, we only use two species in fragrance compositions: Damask rose and Centifolia rose, also called May rose. Christian Dior adored the latter, and the House chose to continue his dream by cultivating it across entire hectares of land in Provence.
“Taking this captivating olfactory profile as a starting point, I wanted to overlay it, symbolically speaking, with Christian Dior’s lucky star.”
