Fashionable duo Datin Azila Caramella and Sarah Shahdan find their luxury fragrance fix in the House of Creed

Together or apart, Datin Azila Caramella and Sarah Shahdan light up any room instantly with their dazzling looks and effortless confidence. But even these glamorous ladies know that there's nothing quite like a luxurious scent to help a woman make an unforgettable entrance.

Whether sophisticated, alluring or minimalist, the right fragrance can add distinction to even the most casual look. "I typically go for oud-y fragrances," muses Azila, who loves layering floral, woody and fresh scents. "Oud feels energetic and productive yet calmer and sexier."

Sarah also shares a weakness for woody notes likes sandalwood and oakmoss: "When it comes to perfume, those more masculine, woody scents are what’s dreamy to me! When given added depth with a hint of rose, it's simply intoxicating and makes me feel sensuous and sultry."

Given their close friendship, it's not surprising that the two women have much in common, from their fragrance preferences to their appreciation of Creed's handcrafted scents, created with meticulous traditions that date back to 1781.

In the 1800s, the House of Creed was known as the Perfumer to Kings—its first ever fragrance, Royal English Leather, was commissioned by King George III who was captivated by the scented leather gloves also made by Creed exclusively for the Royal English Court.

Seven generations of master perfumers and some 200 fragrances later, Creed continues to serve a discerning clientele and its artisanal perfumes uphold the tradition of using only the rarest and purest ingredients around the world.

Taking time out for a pampering day in Kuala Lumpur, Azila and Sarah paid a visit to the Creed boutique at Pavilion KL to sample the finest perfumes from the House of Creed's illustrious repertoire.

"What I appreciate about the House of Creed is how everything is so considered," says Sarah. "From the meticulous process of age-old infusion techniques to how they have been faithfully passed down through generations. It’s a luxurious yet modern fragrance house with a rich heritage. No detail is overlooked. I also swoon over the intricate bottle designs. The Creed Aventus Collection is by far the best amongst Creed’s numerous series. I find the sensual olfactives of these fragrances bewitching."

Adds Azila: "The Creed Aventus collection has an amazing fresh scent which is ideal for everyday wear. I love that the House of Creed is known for authentic, luxury perfumes with different layers of pleasant smells. The smells enhance the rich design and cosy aesthetic of the Creed Pavilion KL boutique."

Indeed, Creed's eclectic library of scents is all the pampering that a modern woman needs to feel like a queen.
