Powered by the latest blur perfection technology, Clé de Peau Beauté's new foundation is the key to achieve flawless, glowing skin this season
The importance of foundation in a make-up routine is right there in the name: it is the base that secures everything that follows, making sure you put your best face forward at all times. Clé de Peau Beauté has enhanced this crucial step with The Foundation, a luxuriously textured product that combines the latest in make-up and skincare technology to optimise your natural glow.
Clé de Peau Beauté has partnered with three women in Hong Kong who are leaders in their respective fields, and who best embody the complexities of The Foundation.
Actress Cecilia Choi has been named and nominated for best actress trophies already in her nascent career, but she continues to hone her skills to further her success. “I always remind myself to be ready,” she says, a sentiment she extends not only to her work, but also to her wellbeing and skincare. Choi’s line of work requires extensive preparation and continuous hard work to build her portfolio, rather like how the precious lakesis extract—sourced from mastic trees growing on the Greek island of Chios— took years to formulate, nurture, and develop. Mastic trees have been carefully cultivated on the Greek island of Chios for almost 1,000 years. After small notches are cut into the bark with a precision tool, clear, teardrop-shaped sap starts to form: the famed “'Tears of Chios”', also known as lakesis extract. Harvesting is done by hand in July and August. The extract is then painstakingly turned into Precious Lakesis Complex, the key component in The Foundation reformulation, which promises to promote dermal collagen and enhance skin elasticity. “My role as an actress is similar—I work hard and do a lot of preparation for my acting. I strive to give my confident look and show my ultimate radiance and shines in front of every audience.” says Choi. “I use The Foundation in the morning to create a natural glow and nourish the skin.”
The Foundation features Blur Perfection Technology EX to enhance natural beauty. It magnifyies the skin’s radiance and diffuses the appearance of imperfections, rather than covering imperfections with powder pigment as most foundations do, promising a beautiful, luminous, 24-hour-long finish*. Optimising the effects of light is something photographer Natalie Dunn does on a daily basis, translating emotions and capturing confidence in her work. “Being radiant and beautiful [are] the foundation of what it means to be confident” says Dunn. “It brings so much joy and meaning to my work when I capture these special moments through my lens and help others show their most radiant self; just as how The Foundation by Clé de Peau Beauté effortlessly illuminates my skin by optimising and diffusing light with the new double reflection technique.”
