Attended by Tatler Singapore's friends, Clarins hosted a romantic afternoon tea party at the National Gallery to unveil their latest and most luxurious line of skincare: Precious, a skin radiance and resilience-boosting collection powered by the rarefied moonlight flower
It was all couleur de nuit at the National Gallery’s Supreme Court Terrace. A twinkling photo wall welcomed guests, ladies arrived bedecked in their own interpretations of the dress code “moonlit”, and at the centre of it all were two long dining tables draped in and flanked by black velvet, adorned with gorgeous white blooms and gilded touches.
Crafted around the idea of the night’s sky, this was the setting for our tea party with Clarins, for the unveiling of their most luxurious skincare line to date: Precious.

Why night? Because at the heart of Clarins’ Precious skincare collection is the rare and rarefied moonlight flower, officially known as Selenicereus Grandifloris—or more majestically known as the “queen of the night”.
With champagne or a welcome cocktail in hand, guests first got to discover the sensoriality of Precious in private skincare consultations. Here, they got to try out the range’s trio of products—Precious La Crème, Precious La Crème Yeux and Precious La Lotion—with the help of Clarins beauty advisors and little luxurious hand massages, of course.

“This treasured white flower only blooms once a year, on a single mid-summer’s night”, highlighted Guillame Nagy, Clarins executive vice president of Southeast Asia and Agents Asia Pacific, as he kicked off the afternoon fete once everyone took their seats.
Precious is the end result of years of research and development—the white flower grows on a unique cactus species that only blooms once in 20 years in the wild, and Clarins scientists have carefully cultivated this plant for one and a half decades for it to flower once a year.
