The CEO of homegrown personalised leather and paper gifts store, Bynd Artisan, tells us why she's a firm believer in using custom-blended skincare
Customised stationery, bespoke perfumes, custom-blended skincare… We’re in an era where the one-size-fits-all model no longer applies, and with good reason—after all, everyone is unique in their own way, from likes and dislikes to varying skin and body type.
It’s a concept that Winnie Chan, co-founder and CEO of homegrown artisanal brand Bynd Artisan firmly believes in. Bynd Artisan, which produces paper and leather goods, is especially popular for its customisation services. The entrepreneur has also been a fervent patron of beauty and spa brand MTM Skincare for 14 years.

“At Bynd Artisan you can select from so many different options to create your own paper or leather product, and I think it’s similar at MTM Skincare, where they analyse your skin in order to choose the right extracts to complement your product. It’s especially important because each of us has a unique skin type and condition,” Winnie shares.
MTM Skincare, which was founded in 1991 and established in Singapore in 2003, adopts a “one person, one formula” approach across its brand. From skincare to facial treatments, every product and service is customised with a cocktail of extracts to complement your skin and uncover its innate beauty.
“I think it's really amazing that they are able to custom-blend different essences into the products, which really helps because our skin changes over time and the same product may not always work.”
